Or you may know him as the Culinary Gangsta — that guy with 3 smokers in his back yard. Whether you know him or not, our guest for Act 29, Taylor Jones, has a big time love of beer and food. We talk his brewing chops and how much Citra he once put in a five gallon batch of beer. We also talk about his newest venture, Burn Theory Fire Kitchen, located at Diametric Brewing, and the origin of the soon-to-be world famous Taylor Tots.

Neil With, a beer industry vet, Master Cicerone and one of the foremost authorities on draft beer joins the show. We talk about beer (duh!), his draft system business and we ate if your beer has “ator” at the end of its name, it means something! The gang had beers from Civil Life, KC Bier & Epic Brewing. A cuvee of beer and bourbon! Guess how that went? This episode isn't for the faint hearted — And we're talking about the drinking and the conversation, folks. In this episode, everything was on the table as we talk beer, bourbon, race and just about everything in between. Power couple Chalonda White, aka Afro Beer Chick, and Nik White, creator Chicago Beer Pass join Beers with Nigel representing the pod they do together, The Neat Pour — which as you might imagine focuses on bourbon, so you know Nick Parker was excited.

Their name says it all. They want to craft the culture. Crafted Culture Brewing founder Anthony “Sizzle” Perry joins Nick & Nigel for Act 25. Opening Monday, Feb. 1, Crafted Culture Brewing is set to become the first black owned brewery in Central Ohio. We talk about his struggles opening a brewery and his goal of reaching neglected craft beer consumers. There’s also lots of funny moments in this episode.
Transparent Brewing supplied our drinking beer — Encore Coffee Brown Ale with Lactose. Mystery beers included: Prairie OKC's 14% BBA Nigerian Prince Imperial Stout with Peanut Butter roasted coffee; Orange Lasse from Crane Brewing and Meli Kalikimaka Spiced Winter Ale from Kros Strain Brewing. We may have poured some Bourbon from FEW as well. But that could just be a rumor.

2020 was quite the year. Never mind that pandemic thing — it's the year we started the BeersWithNigel podcast! In Act 24 we take a look back at some of our favorite guests, topics and beers. Nigel shares his Untappd Year in Beer results. He might have had a few last year. The man who’s always mentioned but never seen; Junior! Finally reveals himself on the pod. Nick thought was a good idea to start the show with the 12% Bourbon Barrel Quad from Boulevard Brewing. Transparent Brewing gifted us a crowler of their lovely Hidden Monster Scottish Export. It’s Act 23 of #BeersWithNigel and we've gone international again! Joining us from the UK is Stacey Ayeh, of Rock Leopard Brewing Co. in London, England. Stacey is a veteran in the alcohol biz and started Rock Leopard to give his interpretation of the beers he loves. We talk about the obstacles he faced getting into the beer business and the London beer scene. Stacey was prepared for the pod, shipping two of his beers across the pond for Nigel and Nick to sip on during the show.
